Migdal HaEmek
Migdal-ha-Emek is located in the north of the country, above the Jezreel Valley, six kilometers south-west of Nazareth-Ilit and thirty kilometers from Haifa.
Migdal-ha-Emek was founded in 1953 by repatriates from China. Its name means "Tower of the valley".
The city is at an altitude of 280 meters above sea level.
The status of the city of Migdal-ha-Emek was received in 1988.
The city grew significantly in the early 1990s, due to repatriates from the CIS countries.
